I have Reaper, Mixcraft, Sony Vegas and Adobe Audition to mix. If you would like the help out, it's early enough that I can still switch into which ever program you have (if we have one of the same)?

Wait what? the harmonies are supposed to have a separate script o_o? You do realize the deadline is in 10 days, right? I don't personally have any problem on learning all of them by myself, recording them and having you cut them later, but why have a "harmony script pending" and "harmony reference pending" there if you're just gonna make it last minute?

(I'm not here to insult you, just letting you know it's pretty a inefficient method)

I didn't think more than a week was late notice for optional harmonies, I guess. ...Genuinely.

The script and the reference simply point out where the harmonies/adlibs will go and the script will highlight these parts. The reference was recorded and uploaded to Box after the main reference, but due to sickness I thought they really wouldn't be helpful and didn't want anyone to try to sound like my hoarse/sick self so I decided to redo them. [/Insert dealing with college and family and life here up until today...oh and a cold that totally blew out my voice after I recorded the main reference. xD]

I don't know what to say about these sorts of comments. I guess it makes me feel like I'm inexperienced, because I don't work with YTChorus users that often and you all may be used to something different. I suppose the reason I wanted to record a reference to begin with was because I don't want anyone to feel lost and just thrown out there, especially those inexperienced with this sort of thing.

But I wish you all would trust me a bit more with this project. This isn't my first chorus/project and everything I've started is still on-going or finished successfully. I'm not going to throw anyone into the water to sink. Things have always worked out well. I know you're not judging/insulting me, joakkar. There just seems to be a lot of general hostility/judgment in multiple directions which probably comes from no one in this chorus knowing me at all.

The overall deadline is March 13rd and twenty days. This is our first song. I haven't even gotten over half of the main lines in yet.

If anyone wants to figure them out themselves/do random ad-lib oohs and ahs because they won't have time after today to record anything/wait for the reference (which is coming today), you're free to! I apologize if this isn't enough time.

Edit: Instead of doing a reference, then, I'll just finish the script (highlighted lines where the harmonies should kick in) and provide the awful reference if anyone needs more guidance.

If in the end we majorly need a deadline extension due to this, then I'll extend it.

I thought that if I sent you absolutely all the harmonies you'd get mad I didn't follow the script and say I sent lines that weren't mine (cuz that's pretty much the purpose of a script, to divide lines between people).

Also, sorry for not trusting you. After all, you're a single person doing all the important job and the only one who gets to have an opinion on anything before and while it gets done, and I was not getting complete information on what I was supposed to do. As I said, I'm a teamwork kind of person and I like helping people and criticizing their job in order to achieve a better result. Sorry that it comes out as someone who complains about everything just because -_-

Initially, I was going to record and send in the main vocals closer to the deadline, but then I saw on Skype that Joakkar was recording, so I also checked the first post only to see that my twin haz recorded too >D Then Mero was all: "Learn the part! Record the part! Mess up the part! REPEAT!!"

No, you're right. The vocal parts are due on the 3rd of March, but the deadline for uploading the video and being completely done is the 13th.~

Noo, no worries. Thank you for letting me know. I apologize for not being entirely clear. Everything is fine. xD If you want to just record harmonies, go ahead.~ No anger. I appreciate criticsm and letting me know if something rubs you the wrong way. It's better that way, so it can be addressed. On the flip side of that, I'm also a really sensitive person on some levels so taking critiscm is like swallowing disgusting cough syrup. I know I need it, but it's not easy to take sometimes.

I use Adobe Audition, if that's not too much trouble for you! I have Mixcraft as well, but I'm not as familiar with it.

Feel free to ad-lib what you want, so long as it fits. Also, your harmonies don't have to mimic mine. I'm sick and awful right now.

I use Adobe Audition, if that's not too much trouble for you! I have Mixcraft as well, but I'm not as familiar with it.

I know my symbol and main lines it's just for those with red lines on their main parts are they to also harmonize their own parts? Or are others who would like to harmonize are to send them? Not everyone has to do the harmonies. If it's on your line it doesn't matter, you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

As for the singing...You don't -have- to download the music. I only want your vocals, by themselves. You can start recording then start the music on Youtube and only sing your parts. The instrumental is in the first post of this thread. If you must download it, the MP3 may be in the description of the video, or you can also download it via a Youtube to MP3 converter online.

Oh okay that makes more sense and will be easier for me. Though I will say THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for extending the deadline. I'm sorry today at work was super busy and I am wiped not to mention yesterday I got incredibly distracted with a project I'm getting together for a friend who's going off to the NAVY next month and will be gone for six years. So I'll be sure to send the line's in either tomorrow or monday. Maybe tonight after I practice some more. But for now my brain is just fried -_-

Extended deadline is today.

9/16 lines received. Still waiting for a lot of them, please get them in, if you haven't. I've contacted those of you who haven't said a word to me. I've also mixed all of the ones I've received. The final MP3 goes to the animator on the 7th. I'll be contacting everyone who's lines I don't receive tomorrow. The d e a d l i n e is today/tonight.

I'll be editing the script and taking it from there on the 7th. If I do not receive your lines (and haven't heard anything from you/gotten a reply/been asked for a definite extension), I'm going to...do something, I don't know. Lol. Please maintain contact with me and reply to me if I've messaged you. Lemme know what's going on.

The deadline was 3/5, and I've contacted everyone who hasn't gotten their lines in/confirmed the deadline. I've gotten a response from everyone at this point and have mixed all received vocals.

I think it would be really mean to just ...go on or recast, especially since this is our first chorus. xDD;

So the final deadline before rearrangements must be made will be March 15th for singers, March 17th for the mixer, and March 24th for the animator (since I believe she's on hiatus?)

Theses are the FINAL deadlines. Everyone has been fairly warned. Please keep contact with me. Everyone who has asked for an extension so far has received one. As long as you're actually letting me know when/what's going on, it's all cool. I'm not going to kill you.

I'll use this extra time to write to everyone who's lines I have gotten.~

If you've turned in your lines but you feel like you rushed them because of the deadline, feel free to send in redos. But it's totally fine if you're happy with them!
