What's your vocal range?

Um, yeah, I just wanted to start this...soooooo, for those who don't know, there are a couple types of voice range and an alpha-numerical system. The alpha-numerical system is where you put the letter of the lowest note you can hit along with the octave number, and then the highest note with the same notation. C3 is middle C. So, my range would be D2 (an octave below middle C) - C#5 (C sharp two octaves above middle C)
Voice Range types are as follows, from lowest to highest: Baritone, Bass, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo-Soprano, and Soprano. Mezzo-Sopranos generally have the smallest range, but it definitely varies from person to person. I call my self a mezzo-soprano because I can reach the soprano and low alto notes, but my best range is in the G2-G5 range.
...I wonder if that was a unnecessarily long rant and all of you are thinking I'm stupid for explaining this XD. Oh well. I was bored.

So, My voice range is D2-C#5, and I am a mezzo-soprano (although I sing Tenor in Treble Choir X3)

To check your vocal range, if you have a piano, start from middle C and go up one note at a time (be sure to warm up first). The note at which your voice breaks and you can't sing beyond that is your top note. The same goes for the lowest note. ^^

There are some videos on YouTube wherein they actually play the key for you. Not sure if it's effective, but if you don't have a piano, then there's one source. (:

I can't remember the exact notes off hand, but my range is most comfortably a baritone although i've slowly started getting up to a low baritenor range.

HeadVoice/Falsetto: G#8

Chest Voice: E5 (without mixing)-->[F5] On a good day

Lower Register: B1 (not a Vocal Fry)

Natural VoiceType: Baritone

6 octaves.

Approximate range is 6.5 Octaves and a Semitone! xD
